The Ipswich Marching Band will participate in the Roncalli Marching Festival on September 28. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and the IHS band will perform at 9:40 a.m. The bands march along 15th Ave. NE from N. Lincoln Street to N. Dakota Street. Having to face Warner and Northwestern in high school volleyball with a day of rest between them was no picnic last week. Ipswich placed third in a high school volleyball invitational tourney at Mobridge last Saturday. The IHS Tigers won their opener over Stanley County, but lost a semi-final decision to the hosts. The IHS girls entered two competitors in the varsity division led by Gracyn Kadlec 19th in 21:29.03 and Madisyn Gellhaus 41st in 23:43.56. Roger Wayne Bamsey, 81, of Rapid City, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Monument Hospice House, Rapid City. At Mr. Bamsey's request, no services will be held. A private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Howard. Roger was born June 21, 1941, at the family farm in rural Howard, to Wayne E. & Marjorie L. (Salmon) Bamsey.
