Ipswich swept the annual Lake Region Conference track and field meet last Tuesday in Ipswich. The Tiger boys nearly doubled runners-up Warner 205 to 112.5. Marjorie Marie Williams, 94, of Olathe, Kansas and formerly of Ipswich, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Marjorie was born on March 2, 1928, to Louis and Barbara Streit in Ipswich. Ipswich did really well in the boys 'varsity division at a recent LRC high school golf meet in Aberdeen on May 5. The Tiger boys indeed shaded rival Faulkton in the boys' team standings with a 246. Ipswich attended a high school track and field meet at Groton on Tuesday, April 26 and the Tiger boys were second only to Class A Milbank, which indeed won the girls' outcome, as well. It’s that time of the year — time for outdoor sports events and two of them are planned for Saturday in Ipswich. That’s right, both high school golf at Split Rock and track and field events on the new track surface. Lynette Diane Heitz, of Mina, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital of Rochester, Minn., at the age of 67.
