Edmunds Central School's new superintendent and K-12 principal Kevin Kunz is preparing for the first day of school on August 23. He is also looking forward to getting to know everyone in the area. A Florida man drove through Edmunds County last week riding on a bicycle trip across the United States. Jeff Peterson, a Bristol native, began his trip near Seattle, Wash. on June 13. His trip, Sea2Key 2021, will cross the country ending at Key West, Florida. Day 24 of the trip began in Mandan, N.D. on July 6. Richland Church Pastor Ron Wickard gave the sermon "Reflections on 42 years" on June 20. It was his final sermon before his retirement. Pastor Sam Crabtree, a friend and associate of Pastor Ron's, spoke on June 27 at the special service to celebrate Wickard's retirement. There is a new format for the 2021 Class B high school track and field state meet! It will consist of the Top 24 qualifiers in each of the 19 girls and boys events recorded during the season up to and including the various regional meets.
