The Marcus P. Beebe Memorial Library in Ipswich is open from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Herr got off a freight train at Ipswich Saturday night and came up town to get something to eat. Seeing a load of groceries in Frank Pemberton’s car, he drove away with the auto and parked it by the railroad tracks. He abandoned the car and loaded the groceries on the freight train. The Hosmer community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on August 6 at the Hosmer Fire Hall which helped collect a total of 41 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 31 individuals volunteered to donate blood, including five new donors. Hosmer organizer Judy Eisenbeisz thanks all the volunteers. Blood donations are needed daily to maintain a strong blood supply and meet ongoing patient needs.
