The Ipswich students will be leaving Thursday Oct. 31 for All -State Chorus and will be practicing with 900 other students for the performance on Nov. 2. The annual South Dakota All-State Chorus and Orchestra event is November 1-2 in Sioux Falls. The chorus will rehearse in the Denny Sanford Premier Center beginning on Friday morning, Nov. 1. Ten Ipswich Middle School students participated in the annual Northwestern Middle School Music Festival, held at Northwestern High School on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. CROSS COUNTRY North Central and Ipswich athletes will be competing in the State B Cross Country meet in Rapid City October 26 at Hart Ranch Camping Resort. The Class B girls run at 12 noon. The heifer futurity contest gives youth an opportunity to learn about the cow/calf production part of the beef industry. The heifer futurity program was visualized and started by local cattle producers to help promote the cattle industry to young producers.
