    The Annual Powell Church Service was held on September 24 with over 50 in attendance. The church was moved to the Ipswich Pioneer Village 39 years ago. The event was hosted by the Flower and Garden Club of Ipswich. Carl Perry of Aberdeen spoke on "The Good Samaritan" and offered a Prayer. Twelve former church members were present.     Phase one of the Roscoe Legion Renovation project has been completed with the completion of new flooring behind the bar and the rebuilding of the north bar area.     The Ipswich Tigers Marching Band performed in the Aberdeen Roncalli Marching Festival on Sept. 27 in Aberdeen. The Ipswich band was named the third place group. They were also named the Best Percussion section. Aberdeen Roncalli Marching Cavaliers was the winner of the Festival, followed by Gregory, second; Hoven, fourth; and Warner, fifth. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Edmunds County 4-H Building.     Despite the rainy weather, walkers came from across the country for the Prairie Wanderers Volkssport Club event in Ipswich on Friday, Sept. 22. There were 27 walkers signed in for the Ipswich 5K (3.1 miles). There were two routes around town, starting at the picnic shelter in Charles Collier Memorial Park.
