    The Ipswich Lions Club recently provided vision screening for over 630 local school children using the South Dakota Lions Foundation Vision Van.     The Prairie Wanderers Volkssport Club is having a first ever Volks-Walk in Ipswich on Friday September 22. All are invited to join them in the walk around the town of Ipswich.     The Hosmer community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on August 31 at the Hosmer Fire Hall which helped collect a total of 35 units of blood products for patients in need. A total of 26 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 20 individuals were able to successfully donate. That included five new donors. Eleven donors gave a double donation and four donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor.
