    The South Dakota All-State Chorus and Orchestra will meet October 28 and 29 in the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls. Ipswich students in the chorus are Emily Knoll, Kamryn Boettcher, Lawson Santema and Gavin Wollman. This will be Gavin’s fifth year as an All-State singer. The IHS alternates are Savannah Coisman, Gracyn Kadlec, Lewis Judkins and Ashton Santema.     The Ipswich School Marching Band competed in the Lake Region Marching Band Festival on October 7 in Groton. The IHS band was named the "Overall Champion Band" by the judges.     On Friday, October 7 the Groton Area 8-12 Band, the Groton Area 6-7 Band, and 11 area school bands including Ipswich, will converge in Groton for the Lake Region Marching Band Festival. The parade of bands will travel from South to North on Groton’s Main Street from Railroad Avenue to 9th Avenue, beginning at 10 a.m. This festival originated in Milbank then moved to Waubay for 11 years.
