    Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern (W-I-N) 14U baseball started play in VFW Region 1B on Monday in Selby. W-I-N played Onida in the first game Monday. They won 6-3. In the second game Groton stopped the hosts, Selby. Monday afternoon Selby beat Onida 11-1. The last game Monday found Groton stopping W-I-N.     The Roscoe 12U team moved to their fourth straight win, taking their season to six wins and four losses for their regular season games. The team went 8-4 over Redfield 8-3 over Gettysburg, 15-3 over Warner and ended their regular season games with a 23-5 win over Hoven at home.     The Kens/Lux Candle men’s 14” softball team continue to remain on top of the league standings. The guys are currently undefeated with a 12-0 record. The past three weeks scores: Kens/Lux over Scared Hitless 26-11 and 16-1; Kens/Lux over Dakota Surveillance 13-12 and 25-15; and Kens/Lux over Splitters 14-4 and 18-10.     The local baseball team, W.I.N., made up of athletes from Warner, Ipswich and Northwestern held their inaugural season in spring league. The team had a 4-6 record and finished out their season last Wednesday, losing to Madison in region action. There are two Ipswich players on the team: Xavier Kadlec and Mac Heinz.     Ipswich hosted a high school golf invite on Thursday, May 18. The hosts would get second in each of the girls and boys divisions, losing to the Webster boys 257 to 268.     The Ipswich Tiger Special Olympics track team competed on Friday, May 5 in Milbank at the Northeast Area Track Meet. "The day was bright and sunny and the team had a great day!" said their teacher Dawn Graham. The team is now 11 athletes, the highest number they have had in years.     Eureka hosted a high school golf tourney on April 29 named the Eureka Kuchen Classic. This was attended by the Ipswich boys who edged Edmunds Central 128 to 129 for their team title.
