Ipswich gradually pulled away from Sunshine Bible Academy in a Region 6B girls' high school basketball play-in game on February 20 in Ipswich. The Tiger girls would end up with a 43-29 scoring edge. But SBA had actually led 7-6 in a defensive-minded opening quarter. However the IHS girls would then own a 20-14 halftime edge and would outscore their visitors 13-6 in the third quarter to gain even more separation going into the final stanza. (Ipswich's largest lead would be by 23 points in the last quarter.) Two reasons were Katie Bierman with a...

Meanwhile the Chargers lived up to their name vs. Ipswich charging ahead 20-12 at the first quarter break.
