The IHS girls entered two competitors in the varsity division led by Gracyn Kadlec 19th in 21:29.03 and Madisyn Gellhaus 41st in 23:43.56. Ipswich won a Lake Region Conference football game at Langford last Friday. Believe it or not the hosts briefly led 6-0 courtesy of their defense, a 25-yard pass interception return by Kalen Goedel. The final score, though, would be Ipswich 58-8, as the hosts had also converted their PAT. But the Lions would sustain more than one costly turnover that evening. There all the classes were eligible for the results, so there was some quality competition at this event (the Pierre Invitational) to say the least. The Edmunds County 4-H Horse Show was held on Wednesday, June 29 at the Yellowstone Trail Complex in Ipswich. The nine participants were from Edmunds, McPherson, and Walworth counties. Edmunds County Shotgun 4-H Shooting Sports will start tonight, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ipswich Sportsmen’s Club north of Ipswich.
