Ipswich Tiger Special Olympics athletes recently participated in tournaments. Tucker Green competed in the NE Unified Special Olympics Tournament in Watertown. He bowled with his grandfather, Bob DeJong. Unified Special Olympics involves an athlete with a disability and one without. The team received third place. The Ipswich volleyball team certainly feels at home in the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers' gym. They will have played five matches there this year, almost as many as their own gym, according to coach Trent Osborne. Ipswich hosted a high school cross country meet last Saturday, but not at its usual location due to some standing water issues on the Split Rock golf course.
