Memorial Day programs

Memorial Day will be celebrated on Monday, May 28. Local communities will have programs to commemorate the holiday.

Ipswich

The Ipswich Memorial Day will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Ipswich School Theatre.

Mark Schaffner of Watertown will be the speaker. A ceremony will follow at the cemetery.

A potluck dinner is planned at the Senior Center on Main Street afterwards.

Hosmer

The Adolph Forkel Post 189 of Hosmer will host a program at 10:30 a.m. in the Hosmer Civic Center.

Sheriff Todd Holtz will be the speaker. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial Park after the program.

Dinner will be served in the Civic Center.

Roscoe

The Andrew & Harold Schauer Post 259 will have their Memorial Day program at 7 p.m. in the Legion Post in Roscoe.

Larry Madsen of Gettysburg, the American Legion State Americanism Officer, will be the guest speaker.

The program will continue at the Morningside Cemetery.

A potluck luncheon will follow, back at the Legion Post.
