The time is nearly here for fun and great music - Trail Days 2018.
The highlight of the weekend is the Saturday evening activities. Bulls & Broncs begins at 4 p.m. at the Trail Days Complex. A Thousand Horses will entertain the crowd in concert at 8 p.m. The Rude Band will be the opening act at 7 p.m. The concert will be followed by an After-Party with The Rude Band at the Trail Days Complex.
A Thousand Horses chemistry was evident even in the early days when lead singer Michael Hobby and guitarist Bill Satcher met while checking out guitars at a Newberry, S.C. music store. They are joined by guitarist Zach Brown and bassist Graham DeLoach. AllMusic calls the group a rootsy and road-tested Southern rock ensemble with both bar band swager and country-pop smarts.
The quartet's album, Southernality, gave the group their first major hit with No. One single "Smoke."
The Rude Band, a Sioux Falls group, has been playing since 1991. They play everything from classic country to rock anthems.
Several organizations are planning activities for the weekend.
