The Edmunds County Relay for Life was held on Friday, July 20 at the Ipswich Athletic Complex.
Cancer survivors walked the first lap of the event. Some walked, some rode in golf carts. The walkers started at 6 p.m. and someone was walking on the track until midnight, when this year's Relay concluded with fireworks.
Four teams raised funds for the American Cancer Society event. The 2018 theme was "Cancer is not a Game."
Luminaries lined the track and were lit at dusk. Each had the name of a cancer survivor or someone who lost their battle on it. Those names were read by emcee Trent Osborne.
