Plans are in full swing for the second annual Hometown Holiday Weekend December 6-8 sponsored by the Ipswich Commercial Club.
Many businesses and organizations have already submitted their plans but if you haven't and would like to be included in the advertising, contact Carole Curtis or Emily Kadlec today.
Some of the events that you might want to prepare for are:
• Gingerbread House Contest - open to all ages; bring your completed display to the Edmunds County Courthouse Community Room by noon on Friday, December 7. Prizes will be awarded.
• Lighted Lane - they have a few new additions for this year's outdoor display on Bloemendaal Drive but could use many more. Contact Carole or Emily if you have something to display. Cash donations are also being accepted to fund this project.
• Holiday Spirit Contest for students and staff of the Ipswich School - start making your plans for this contest which will be held on Friday, December 7.
• Christmas Decorating Contest - take advantage of the warmer weather this week to make your home festive for the holidays. Judging will take place during the Hometown Holiday Weekend.
Watch for the Hometown Holiday Weekend flyer that will advertise all of the events happening.
