So far in South Dakota, 2018 has been an interesting weather year, with some extremes in the mix to make up the yearly averages. But we have so much to be thankful for that our weather hasn't gone to the extremes experienced in Florida and California for example, that produce deadly hurricanes or brush fires over wide-spread acreages that consume everything in their way. Including human life!
So Happy Thanksgiving and also Black Friday, if you're into that. This year there seems to be some other type of marketing promotion for every day of the week to compliment Black Friday. And if you can't wait until Friday, I noticed that at least one major retailer has a preview of each and every Black Friday sale if you want to stay ahead of the competition.
Hopefully the weather will be decent over the long holiday weekend. It actually doesn't sound too bad. But that Friday snow last week was a little more than everybody had expected and tested out our shovels and snowblowers.
