Fiddlin' Around

Last Friday was the Roscoe Commercial Club's Christmas promo and this weekend will be the Ipswich Commercial Club's turn to celebrate the holidays December 6-8. They used to refer to it as Santa Day, but it has recently evolved into quite a bit more than that with myriad individual ideas from area businesses and organizations. And now it's more than just one day!

The weather has gotten a little more wintry lately, but hopefully decent enough to get outdoors and get those last minute lights and decorations if you spell procrastinator with a capitol P.

Yes, I guess that would make you an official Procrastinator and a formal member of the Procrastinator's Club. The only rule is that you indeed indefinitely delay joining the club. Yes, put it off indefinitely!

Our newspaper this week will be a day late and all you procrastinators out there shouldn't mind that at all. It would only bother you if you had to read it a day early. Yes, since a former president George H.W. Bush has recently passed away, this Wednesday has been declared a federal holiday, a day of remembrance for the late president. And that of course means no Post Office newspaper deliveries until this Thursday, Dec. 6.
