Ipswich senior netter Abigail Grabowska has been named to the S.D. Class B All-State Volleyball Team as selected by the South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association.
Grabowska was named to the second-team. All in all it was a great day for the Lake Region Conference of which Ipswich is a member. Warner and Northwestern each placed two players on the first team and the LRC's Peyton Melius of Faulkton made the first team as just a sophomore. The LRC had an additional honorable-mention selection, Ady Dwight, of Langford Area.
Ipswich coach Trent Osborne commented: "When you have a love for the game and really work at it, as Abby did, a player earns some recognition. It is great for her to receive recognition of her abilities from other coaches around the state. She is such a well-rounded player that teams always had her on their radar when preparing for us. Even though teams game-planned for her, she finished the season with a 95% serving rate, 496 Kills, a 31.3 kill percentage, and 654 digs. That is a pretty amazing way to end a great career. We are all very proud of her and we hope that she will go down in the books as one of the volleyball players who helped to start a tradition of great volleyball players and great volleyball teams from Ipswich."
