Games cancelled, postponed

The blizzard weather caused some postponements and/or cancellations involving area sports teams.

An Edmunds Central boys’ trip to a holiday classic in Wolsey on Friday was not to be that day. The Ipswich girls were also scheduled to play Chester Area in the Huron Holiday Classic on Friday and that was cancelled.

Also a Waubay/Summit girls/boys twinbill originally scheduled for Dec. 29 in Ipswich has been postponed and will be split into two separate nights. The Waubay/Summit boys will visit Ipswich on Jan. 11 and their girls will head west on Feb. 5.

Later this week...

The I/L/B wrestlers will compete in Miller on Jan. 5. The IHS boys and girls will host Warner in a twinbill on Jan. 3 and then the boys’ varsity travels to Aberdeen Christian on Jan. 5. The girls’ varsity hosts Northwestern on Jan. 8.
