Aleah Steger waves to crowd after being crowned.
Miss Ipswich Aleah Steger was crowned the 2019 South Dakota Snow Queen on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 in the Aberdeen Civic Theater. The IHS senior will have a year of many travels and appearances. The Ipswich Commercial Club is working on a reception in her honor later this month. The festival had another Ipswich twist also. This year's Frosty was revealed to be Ipswich grad Randy Grismer.
Members of Aleah's royal court are the Princess of Summer, Emma Greiner, Miss Wilmot; Princess of Autumn, Samantha Olson, Miss Northwestern; Princess of Spring, Anna Schwader, Miss Miner County; and Princess of Winter, Elise Herschel, Miss Sisseton. Miss Hoven, Kayla Sautner, was chosen Miss Congeniality.
Aleah is the daughter of Melissa and Danny Steger of Mina.
