Tiger Post Fund Drive moving forward

The Tiger Post Fund Drive is moving forward with hopes of having bid plans drawn up and awarding the contract in early April.

The estimated cost of the total project came in at $450,000. This price includes a garage, driveway/parking lot, and miscellaneous expenses built in to the cost.

Currently reporting money and pledges are at $317,500, according to committee member Mike Hammrich. The committee and board members are aggressively pursuing tax-deductible gifts to help this project become a reality for the coming school year.

If you are interested in contributing to this project you may contact any committee member or call the Ipswich State Bank to make a donation. Planning Committee members are Erica Larson, Deanne Hoyle, Carole Curtis, LeRoy Kilber, Todd Hettich, Tadd Thorson, Susie Treftz and Mike Hammrich.

They are planning a Tiger Paw Wall in the facility to honor donors of certain levels. You can have your own paw by donating a minimum of $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000. All donations are tax-deductible. “Please note that every contribution, from $25 to $10,000, makes a difference and can make this project a reality,” said Hammrich.

The planning committee cannot express the importance of this project for the community. Members of the Tiger Post Board, Ipswich School Board, Ipswich Development Board and Ipswich City Council all know this program has contributed to the growth of Ipswich and the safety and well being of many children the past 20 years.
