Fiddlin' Around

It's now officially spring according to the calendar and that's also evidenced by our longer days of sunlight, which we hadn't seen much of lately, due to that devastating blizzard last week.

Somebody said that the groundhog should hide out until next year, because he was so wrong (or right?) forecasting when spring would arrive. Hopefully we won't get all that much more white stuff until next fall or winter. Or even all that much rain for the time being for obvious reasons as well!

That blizzard cut into my personal attendance at the boys' State B, but I was definitely wanting to watch the afternoon session Saturday, yes Saturday. That consolation bracket usually contains all the outlying teams from our area and beyond (all four of the teams that I was pulling for on Thursday) and yes I'll admit I was a Tiger fan, the White River Tigers. And you probably haven't forgot that legendary consolation bracket game a few years ago where Langford Area and White River hooked up in a classic five-OT marathon, a game for the ages!

Last week was Ag Week and I don't ever remember it being that early or why it would be that early, especially this year. The ag producers do need a break, though, so maybe that was indeed a good time for Ag Day and Ag Week.
