Local youth are invited to participate in Growing YOUth program, designated to create opportunities for youth to experience first-hand the various aspects of agriculture.
You do not have to be a member of 4-H or FFA to participate. Looking for youth ages 5-18 to participate. To be apart of the program, fill out a short application. Return that to Edmunds County Conservation District by May 10. Send the form to PO Box 25, Ipswich, SD 57451 or email to [email protected].
The program was created to help youth develop valuable life skills. They will emphasize communication, commitment, leadership, teamwork and service. They hope to provide a quality program that youth can not only enjoy all spring, summer and fall but to provide projects where youth can grow their unique individual character as they partake in a new experience, meet new friends and develop a passion for the rural way of life.
Local sponsors are Ipswich Lumber & Hardware LLC, Ipswich City, Millborn Seed and the Edmunds County Conservation District.
