Ipswich High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members attended the FBLA Spring Leadership Conference April 15-16 in Sioux Falls.
At the conference students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete for national awards at the National Leadership Conference each summer. The 2019 National Leadership Conference will be in San Antonio, Tex.
The IHS winners are:
• Banking & Financial Systems – Fifth place (national qualifier) team of Ben Kulesa, Jacob Nierman, Michael Kraft
• Broadcast Journalism – Fourth place (national qualifier) team of Jailey Hutson, Baylee Kulesa, Katie Bierman
• Business Communications – Thomas Goetz, third place
• Computer Applications – Halle Heinz, first place (national qualifier); Bailey Pitz, second place (national qualifier); Jordan Richardt, fourth place (national qualifier); Chloe Jager, fifth place
• Cyber Security – Thomas Goetz, fourth place (national qualifier)
• Entrepreneurship – Third place team of Kamryn Heinz, Sydney Loken, Tessa Kilber (national qualifier)
• Management Decision Making – Second place (national qualifier Team of Kamryn Heinz, Sydney Loken, Tessa Kilber
• Public Speaking – Avery Sylte, second place (national qualifier)
