IHS Class of 2019 graduates Saturday

Twenty-nine Ipswich High School seniors will graduate during commencement exercises planned for Saturday, May 11, 2019 beginning at 2 p.m. in the school gym.

Ipswich seniors receiving their diplomas from the Ipswich School Board will be, alphabetically: Jared Bjordal, Daniel Braun, Thomas Goetz, Olivia Gohl, Abigail Grabowska, Brooke Graves, Jasmine Green, Bailey Hammrich, Kamryn Heinz, Nathan Kamps, Kari Kanable, Michael Kraft, Benjamin Kulesa, Kyle Larson, Sydney Loken, Taylor Maurer, Trevin Maurer, Matthew Miller, Reece Moehlenbrink, Riley Nehlich, Shelden Neitzel, Jacob Nierman, Abigail Olson, Jadon Onken, Nathan Preszler, Carson Simes, Aleah Steger, Ashlee Thorson and Myra Toennies.

Myra Toennies is this year's Valedictorian and Abigail Grabowska is the Salutatorian. The Regents Scholars are Kamryn Heinz, Kari Kanable, Sydney Loken and Jacob Nierman.

This year's commencement will feature graduation addresses by the Valedictorian Myra Toennies and the Salutatorian Abigail Grabowska. There will also be a video presentation featuring the Class of 2019, along with flower presentations, as well as a musical selection by the High School Choir. The Middle School Band will play the processional and recessional. Senior Class President Benjamin Kulesa and Senior Class Vice-President Daniel Braun will deliver the Welcome and Invocation. Principal Daniel Knust will present the Class of 2019 for Diplomas, presented by Superintendent Trent Osborne and School Board Chairman Justin Davis. School Board Member Heidi Sylte will assist.

The Ipswich High School Seniors have chosen an Orange Rose as their Class Flower and their Class Colors are Orange and Black. Their Class Motto from an anonymous author is "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters ... Compared to what lies within us."

Benjamin Kulesa is the Class President and Student Body President and Daniel Braun, the Class Vice President.
