Lillian Maie Roth, 87, of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho passed away May 17, 2019 with her husband John by her side.
Lillian was born May 26, 1931 to Amelia (Carl) Hammrich. She was raised on the family farm until moving into Ipswich.
She was united in marriage to John Roth of Roscoe on Sept. 30, 1952 in Ipswich where they lived for a short time before moving to Lead, where John worked in the Homestake Gold Mine for 14 years. They then moved to Coeur D’Alene where John worked for the Bunker Hill Mine in Kellog, Idaho for 17 years until it shut down.
Lillian enjoyed being a housewife taking care of her John. Cooking, tending to their large vegetable garden every summer. She loved to read, write letters, fixing puzzles and watching her stories. She enjoyed their trips to the Casino and was always a winner.
When her health began to fail in July 2018 she became a resident of LaCrosse Health & Rehabilitation. John joined her there in August taking care of each other. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage this year.
Grateful for having shared in Lillian’s life is her beloved husband, John. She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn (Charlie) Potter of Mt. Airy, Md. and Irene Tiggelaar of Webster; brothers, Clarence (Judy) Hammrich and Junior (Joyce) Hammrich of Ipswich, Leonard (Georgianne) Hammrich of Hayden Lake, Idaho and numerous nieces and nephews.
Proceeding Lillian in death are her parents, Carl and Amelia Hammrich; brothers, Edward, Tony and Henry Hammrich; sisters Marcella Allbee and Beverly Miller.
A graveside Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
