Dakota State volleyball head coach Amy Veenhof is excited to announce the addition of Ipswich High School product Abigail Grabowska to its 2019 recruiting class. She will continue her education and volleyball career at DSU this coming fall.
Grabowska, 5-foot-7 outside hitter, was a four-time letter winner for Ipswich volleyball team. She was named to All-Conference First Team from 2016-18. She was selected as the Most Valuable Player and Player-of-the-Year in 2016. She was voted as the Offensive Player-of-the-Year in 2017.
Grabowska reached her 1,000-dig milestone in 2017, and the 1,000-kill club in 2018. She was selected to All-State Second Team in 2018 after tallying 496 kills, 654 digs, 32 service aces and 24 blocks. She was named to the Max Preps/AVCA Player-of-the-Week honor.
Grabowska accumulated 1,138 kills, 1,518 digs, 96 blocks and 82 aces during her volleyball career at Ipswich High School.
She also lettered in basketball (4-time letter winner including All-Conference accolades and placed seventh at the 2019 Class 'B' State Tournament in 2019) and track (6-time letter winner and received numerous awards at the state track meet – 2016 Class 'B' Champions and 2018 and 2019 Class 'B' Runner-ups).
Grabowska was listed on the 'A' Honor Roll and graduated as Salutatorian at Ipswich High School. She received the English II and Judge Hembd awards. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
Abigail is the daughter of Troy and Renee Grabowska. She is planning to major in Biology at Dakota State University.
