The Library Remembers When...

From the Ipswich Tribune August 31, 1927 edition

Mrs. H. E. Beebe was hostess Friday night at a seven o’clock dinner party at which nine young people of the Baptist church were present. These young people will all leave for various colleges soon.

The house was very artistically decorated with flowers and college colors and pennants from the various schools which these young people represent. A lovely three course dinner was served after which the evening was spent with music and entertaining games. At the close of the evening each guest was presented with a pretty motto suitable for a college room.

The guests were Misses Survilia and Norma Stevens and Miss Minne Stubbe who will attend Sioux Falls College; Floyd Dehnert, State College, Brookings; Dennis Countryman, Morningside, Sioux City; Mildred Stannard, U of Nebraska, Lincoln; Edwin Herrick, U of Illinois, Urbana; Ernest Beebe, Carlton, Northfield, Minn; Bertis Mears, U of Minnesota.
