Renae Graff

Ranae Graff, 53, Hosmer, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Bowdle Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hosmer, led by Pastor Alois Vogl. Interment follows at Bethany Cemetery, Hosmer.

Ranae Rochelle Graff, daughter of Sheila (Mohr) and Herbert Graff, was born in Leola on February 8, 1966. She was brought up and educated in Hosmer, graduating with the HHS Class of 1984. She was diagnosed with Polymyositis in 1997 and suffered a severe stroke in 2003. For seven years she lived at the Hosmer Senior Citizens Home. She then lived on her own in Hosmer until three months ago when she relocated to the Bowdle Nursing Home. Ranae held various jobs in Hosmer and, being a good worker, excelled at each one. Ranae will be remembered as a great softball player.

In addition to her mother, Sheila, Ranae is survived by her grandmother, Selma Mohr, currently of the Bowdle Nursing Home; two brothers, Marty Brammer of Lander, Wyo. and Glenn (Shannon) Graff of Rapid City; one sister, Monica (Greg) Fuhrmann of Rapid City; nieces and nephews, Courtney, Brittny, Marissa, Chloe, Dustin, and Easton; great nephew, Dexton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert, on November 22, 2010; grandparents, Edwin (Freddie) Mohr and Fred and Pauline (Wagner) Graff; and niece Micara Ranae Graff.

Musicians will be Wesley Schaible and Joyce Heyne. Ushers will be Delbert Gienger and David Eisenbeisz.

Honorary bearers will be the staff at the Bowdle Hospital, Clinic, and Nursing Home.

Casketbearers will be friends, Cheryl Kirschenmann and Brenda Grode of Eureka; and Holly Johnson, Bill Johnson, Lance Bonen, and Glenn Pietz all of Hosmer.
