Coach Thorson to be inducted into CHS Hall of Fame

Ipswich Coach Todd Thorson will be inducted into the Aberdeen Central High School (CHS) Hall of Fame Class 2019.

Thorson, a 1989 CHS graduate, will be inducted into the "Athletics" section. "Coach Thorson has led the Ipswich boys' and girls' cross country and track and field teams to MANY state championships. A nationally recognized water-skier himself, Thorson founded and continues to direct the Aberdeen Aqua Addicts Water Ski Team," according to the Hall of Fame explanation.

The Hall of Fame banquet is planned on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 in conjunction with CHS Homecoming Week activities.

The CHS Hall of Fame is a special project of the Aberdeen Public School Foundation. Alumni are nominated in the following categories: Academic/ Achievement, Athletics, Fine Arts, and Distinguished Service.

The foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes excellence in education by forging a partnership among the schools, community and alumni.
