Ipswich split a pair of high school volleyball appearances last week, both on the road. The Lady Tigers swept a non-conference 3-0 verdict over Potter County in Hoven last Tuesday, but dropped a Lake Region Conference decision 3-0 at Langford Area two nights later.
At PC, Ipswich won by identical 25-14 counts and then a harder 25-22 third-set win over the hosts. In that one, Ipswich netted 77 hits and 33 of them were by kills, compared to PC’s 17. Ipswich was led there by Hailey Bierman, 18-19 with nine kills, followed Paige Mehlberg, 10-10,7 and Avery Sylte went 23-28, also with seven kills....
