Kids Again Consignment is a new store in Ipswich, located in the ISB Agency/Dakota Insurance Solutions building across from the Subway.
The business owner Laura Ptacek said the consignment store features kids' clothes, as well as men's and women's clothes and gently-used toys and baby gear.
"This isn't a thrift store," Laura said. "This is a consignment store, where the owner and the consignor each get a percentage of the sales. Only the best-quality items will be accepted. I would rather have a few really nice items than a lot of lesser quality things."
Consignment items must be clean, free from damage, and in like-new condition. Items will not be accepted if they are dirty, smell, are damaged or out of season and/or style, she said.
"A consignment store is a great way to offer quality clothing to the community at a greatly reduced cost, while giving people a way to make a few dollars for themselves as well" Laura said.
Consignments are welcome when items are needed. Right now there's not room for anything but a few more kids' clothes, Laura said.
Hours are Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. "Hoping to add more hours in the future," Laura said. "And maybe eventually be able to move into a larger space and offer more kinds of products, like home decor and smaller furniture."
The store is also open by appointment. Call Laura at 380-8141 or send an email to [email protected].
