Public schools and its surrounding community are asked daily to help prepare every student to become tomorrow’s leaders. That’s why, this year, we celebrate the whole public school community during American Education Week. Education and leadership preparation takes a village!
That is why, during American Education Week 2019 we would like to salute ALL of those involved in making our school district outstanding. School board members, administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, food service workers, maintenance professionals, substitutes, parent/guardians and community members all play very different, but very important parts in educating each child that comes through the doors in the Ipswich Public School District.
According to the National Education Association, “It’s been many years since most members of the public have been in a classroom. Given that no more than 20 percent of a community’s adult population has school-age children, most people don’t have an accurate understanding of what our schools are all about today.”
That said, we continue to invite parent/ guardians and community members to visit the school and classrooms and see the education and leadership preparation in action. If you would like to volunteer your time at any of the schools please contact the administrator for that building. We would love to have you!
We would like to extend our gratitude for the trust that you have placed in the Ipswich Public School District in preparing your children to be the leaders of tomorrow. We hope that you celebrate and enjoy American Education Week as much as we at the Ipswich Public School District enjoy being part of this wonderful village.
