The 2020 State Fair 4-H Poultry and Rabbit Shows were held on Saturday, August 29 in Huron.
Three families did an excellent job representing Edmunds County. Members were only able to have two entries per species.
Each of the four members attending received top honors for one of their entries. At the rabbit show Alexis Fisher received Reserve Grand Champion Netherland Dwarf, Grant Fisher received Grand Champion French Lop, and Jillian Fischer received Reserve Grand Champion Polish.
At the poultry show Grant Fischer received Reserve Grand Champion Asiatic and Mac Heinz received Reserve Grand Champion Commercial Roaster with his Red Ranger Broilers.
Individual animal ribbons are Alexis Fisher- Asiatic Cock-Blue, Mediterranean Cock-Red, Netherland Dwarf Rabbit -Purple, Holland Lop Rabbit-Blue; Grant Fischer-Asiatic Hen-Purple, Continental Cock-Purple, French Lop Rabbit-Purple, Mini Satin Rabbit-Purple; Jillian Fischer-Asiatic Hen -Purple, Continental Cock-Blue, Polish Rabbit-2 Purples, and Mac Heinz-Rhode Island Red Trio-Purple, and Red Ranger Broilers-Purple.
Several of them participated in showmanship. Alexis Fischer won blue ribbons in both poultry and rabbit showmanship, Jillian Fischer received a purple ribbon in rabbit showmanship, and Mac Heinz received a red ribbon in poultry showmanship.
