Canadian publicist picks up Ipswich native and author

Lloydminster, Saskatchwan publicist Creative Edge has signed Ipswich native and author Gary Wietgrefe to promote his books throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

Wietgrefe's latest book, "Destination North Pole-5,000 km by bicycle," tipped the publicist's interest in promoting Wietgrefe and his books through electronic and print media. So far a Las Vegas syndication, Saskatoon television, a London broadcaster and others recorded programs for YouTube and other media.

"I am so excited to join such a professional team," said Gary. "My New York distributor has seen orders pick up since signing with Creative Edge. It is quite an opportunity."

Recent interviewers in Canada and the United States have shown increasing interest in predictions made in Wietgrefe's Relating to Ancients series of books. "Learning as it influences the 21st century" and "Culture and the mysterious agent changing it" both explained fundamentals of why workers would stop going to the office and work from home as their children learn from home.

"There is no way I predicted a pandemic," claimed Wietgrefe. "But, as I explained in my books the current pandemic certainly sped transition to home work by children and parents."

Wietgrefe went on to describe how the future meets the past.

The pandemic is quickly rebuilding the family unit with parents and children at home and placing more attention on grandparents and others that are socially isolated.

Every previous century children learned almost everything from parents or grandparents. Playing and chores at home and helping neighbors taught practical things. Today's electronic access to education enhances learning and social skills. Children in recent months interact more with siblings, neighborhood children of all ages, grandparents and others that need and want their attention.

People want an adventure. Gary went on to explain that his latest book, Destination North Pole, is a travelogue through the Dakotas and Canada towards Alaska's Arctic Circle.

"It allows readers to travel from their armchair to places they may never visit all from an old bicycle they will never get to ride. It is an endearing, humorous and dangerous adventure all ages will enjoy," Gary said in summary.
