Something for everyone at Trail Days 2021

Ipswich’s Annual Summer Event – Trail Days – will be held June 18-20.

The three-day event will kick-off on Friday, June 18 with the Trail Days Cup Golf Tournament at the Split Rock Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shot-gun start at 12 noon for the four-person scramble 18-hole golf tournament.

Later that day join the Amazing Race Ipswich Scavenger Hunt with your team of three to four people and win tickets to Saturday’s Concert. Pre-register by June 11 to ensure T-shirts by contacting Heidi at 605-380-1989. The race begins at the 4-H building at 6 p.m.

For those fitness buffs, the Ipswich Community Fitness Center will sponsor a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. Pre-register for this event by contacting Morgan at 660-351-5158.

“Salute to Essential Workers” is this year’s parade theme that begins at 11 a.m. The parade entries will travel down Main Street and end at the Trail Days Complex. Contact Patty at 605-216-1543 to add your parade entry.

After the Parade, festivities can be found at the Ipswich Trail Days Complex for 12 hours of FUN! There will be FREE inflatables for all ages, a Pedal Pull for toddlers and youth, JENGA, Corn Hole Tournament, Face Painting, Duck Pond, Music and Free Ice Cream. There will be food vendors, beer, alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages for sale throughout the afternoon and evening.

At 4 p.m. the Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding will begin with FREE admission this year. There will be a Calcutta of the riders and stock prior to each event.

Country Music Stars will perform on the big stage beginning at 8 p.m. with Lainey Wilson as the opening act and Neal McCoy as the headliner. Advance tickets for the concert are available at Ken’s Food Fair in Ipswich and Aberdeen and the Hitchin’ Post in Aberdeen. E-tix is also available at http://www.ticketsource.us/ipswichtraildays.

The after-party which will begin immediately following the concert featuring Peter Franck.

Sunday’s Cowboy Church Service at the Trail Days Arena with Pastor Dave Morrison will round out the weekend activities.
