The regional high school golf meet is scheduled for May 24 at the Broadland Creek golf course in Huron.
Ipswich was also scheduled to enter a pre-regional warm-up meet in Huron on Monday, but those results were not available as of our newspaper deadline. The Tiger boys' golfers had also attended a James Valley Christian invite there last Thursday. Luke Peterson became the medalist that day. He carded a 81 that proved to be one stroke better than the runner-up Sam Hansen of Great Plains Lutheran Academy.
Next for the Tigers was Matthew Jaenisch with a 99 for 23rd followed by Chet Peterson, 24th with a 100. Jace Konsor added a 109 for 34th and Tucker Kadlec was 42nd with his 134.
Ipswich finished third in the boys' team standings, won by De Smet at 264. The hosts finished second as a team with their 269 and Ipswich was next at 280.
The top girls' golfer was Olivia Rink of JVC at 92, edging Bailey Landmark of Deubrook Area with a 93. The top girls' team was Deubrook Area with a 306.
