The Ipsodak National Honor Society inducted 16 new members on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021.
IPSODAK president Carson Gohl presided over the Induction Ceremony.
Present members told about the four pillars of the organization. Chloe Jager spoke on Scholarship, Zach Geditz - Service, Taylor Thorson - Leadership, and Holly Anderson - Character.
Retired IHS teacher Lynette Heitz was the guest speaker. She congratulated the new members.
She said they were on a journey through their life. You construct a unique tower throughout your life using the four pillars of NHS. Each being important in your life.
Superintendent Trent Osborne led the NHS Pledge for the NHS members.
2021 Inductees are Ian Beyers, Trevor Beyers, Kaitlyn Bierman, Kamryn Boettcher, Carter Geditz, Madison Geditz, Tyler Hettich, Jailey Hutson, Emily Knoll, Allyssa Koch, Baylee Kulesa, Quincy Olivier, Ashley Ptacek, Cody Russell, Turner Thorson and Ashlyn Weig.
The current IPSODAK NHS members are Holly Anderson, Kirsten Anderson, Kaden Boettcher, Emily DeRaad, Zach Geditz, Carson Gohl, Matthew Jaenisch, Chloe Jager, Ty Kadlec, Gavin Koch, and Taylor Thorson.
The NHS advisor is Angie Kulesa.
NHS requirements are:
Scholarship - Maintain a 3.5 GPA or above throughout the remainder of your high school career.
Leadership - Be a positive leader for the members of your class, school and community.
Service - Give of yourself to your community and your school in an effort to be of service to others.
Character - Develop and maintain personal character of the highest quality in the classroom, extra curricular activities, and in the community.
