Delores V. Walth

Funeral services for Delores V. Walth, 87, of Aberdeen, was at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Lisa Heffernan officiating.  Burial at Bethany Cemetery, Hosmer. 

Delores died Thursday, September 29, 2021, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Delores Verna Rohrbach was born February 24, 1933, to Fred and Lydia (Voegele) Rohrbach in Hosmer. She attended a country school and did various jobs as a young woman. Delores married Melvin Walth on May 27, 1954, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hosmer.

They resided on Melvin's family farm until retiring from farming in 1995. They continued living on the farm while putting many hours into Walth's Variety Shop. In March of 2000, they sold the farm and moved to Roscoe. On October 3, 2000, Melvin passed away. Delores continued living in Roscoe until August 2010, when she moved to the Carlyle Apartments where she made many friends. In summer of 2018 she moved to Bethesda Nursing Home where she resided until she passed away peacefully in her sleep. 

Delores had many hobbies to keep herself busy. She loved to garden, cook, bake, can produce from her garden, read romance novels, do crafts and crochet. She loved visiting with family and friends and helping Marvin with his woodworking projects. They would travel to various craft shows to show off their many talents. 

Grateful for having shared Delores' life are her daughter Monica Walth and her sister Phyllis Becker. 

Preceding Delores in death are her husband Melvin Walth, her son Lynell Walth, and her parents Fred and Lydia Rohrbach.
