One of the goals of the Ipswich School this year is to grow their connections, both inside the school buildings, as well as, growing their connections within the community.
“We also know that October is Cancer Awareness Month and the Ipswich School is going to combine their October Tiger Grow Day with Cancer Awareness and try to do as much good in the community as we can,” said Superintendent Trent Osborne.
On Friday, October 22 the High School Band and Vocal will be doing a short “Concert for a Cure” outside the Golden Living Center starting at 1:30 pm. The band and vocal will perform some of their favorite numbers for the nursing home patients and staff, as well as, anyone else who would like to stop and listen.
Additionally, to continue to grow their connection to the community, the staff and students will be doing a “Rake and Run” that they are calling a “Clean-up for a Cure” on Friday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. “We are looking for Ipswich residents within walking distance of the school who would like some of our staff and students to do some of the Fall clean-up in their yard,: said Osborne.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions in the “Clean-up for a Cure”, call Trent Osborne at 426-6561 or email [email protected]. Donations can be made on behalf of these activities and all proceeds will be donated for cancer research.
