Ipswich Snow Queens to be crowned Saturday

The 2022 Ipswich Snow Queen will be crowned on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the School Theatre.

The theme is "Go For Gold." The Festival is sponsored by the Ipswich Commercial Club.

The senior candidates are Emily DeRaad, Chloe Jager and Tasia Rivera.

There are five candidates for Junior Miss Ipswich. They are Reaghan Bowers, Sommer DeRaad, Kathryn Kilber, Kaylin Onken and Jaydin Stiles.

The Avantara staff has selected Ila Walker as this year's Senior Citizens Snow Queen.

First grade Prince and Princess participants are:

• Princess Contestants: Sadie Thayer daughter of Landon and Alesha Thayer, Rayna Schwartz daughter of Sarah Rose and Tyler Schwartz, Sophie Crissman daughter of Ramsey and Rachel Crissman, Rayna Pietz daughter of Michael Pietz and Kayla and Garrett Hartwell, Kadynce Schreurs daughter of Josh and Sara Schreurs, Dixie Grace Marshall daughter of Dusty and Tracy Marshall, and Harper Opsahl daughter of Jason and Melissa Opsahl.

• Prince Contestants: Gabriel Stearns son of Lauren and Jennifer Stearns, Easton Geditz son of Dustin and Sam Geditz, Aaron Wagner son of Lexie Birdsall and Ben Wagner, Jase Heilman son of Joel and Danielle Heilman, Ryder Steen son of Lonnie and Katie Steen, Nixon Fuller son of Justin and Lindsey Fuller, Jacob Volk son of James and Emily Volk, William Hoyle son of Joe and Danielle Hoyle, Austin Sieh son of Eric and Angie Sieh

Nathan Collins will be the emcee this year.

This year's Festival will include a talent competition. There are several contestants in the two divisions. They will be competing Saturday morning. Two from each division will perform Saturday night during the Festival. The talent competition is open to the public Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the theatre.
