Fiddlin' Around

Winter has finally arrived, both on calendars and your thermometers. And your outdoor windows for that matter! This winter season is indeed underway and then some with some below 0° temperatures.

But one of the things still left in December would of course be New Years Eve, December 31, the last day of the month and now the entire year. This year indeed seemed to move along really fast, as it approaches Friday evening, Dec. 31 at around midnight.

So enjoy what's left of this holiday season! And you still have time to make a News Years Resolution or two. Or even three!

It has seemed rather weird for Christmas and now New Years Day to both be on a Saturday, already a holiday for many working folks. But our 2021 work includes the December 29 editions of our weekly newspapers.

And Happy New Year. When I was in college I rented an apartment and my landlady would say "Let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year." The problem with that was that she was still saying it on April Fools Day and beyond.

So let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year! Now I'm repeating myself too!
