To promote Youth Art Month, the Council for Art Education coordinates Youth Art Month activities at the national level. The primary event was the State Flag program.
Quincy Olivier's flag design won for the South Dakota Youth Art Month contest. Each state will have a flag represented at the National Art Educator's Conference. Quincy's design will be turned into a flag and be on display at this year's conference in New York City.
Using the national or state theme, each state coordinated a flag design contest, with the winning designs made into a flag for display in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association (NAEA) annual National Convention.
