Spring has officially sprung and so have the USD women — right into the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. I think their next opponent will be Michigan on Saturday in Wichita, Kan.
That’s right the Coyotes for the first time in their program history came away with back-to-back upsets of Ole Miss and Baylor. The Baylor Bears certainly don’t enjoy losing on their own court.
So good luck to the Coyotes. Meanwhile the SDSU women, not making the NCAA event as an at-large team, are going to the women’s NIT Tourney and gaining valuable experience for next year’s Summit League wars.
And how about all our wind. You are supposed to go fly kites in March, so go fly your kite. (If you can hold on to it.)
This week is also Ag Week, saluting ag producers. Hopefully this wind and fog will eventually result in some much needed moisture.
