Their golfers attended a varsity meet in Faulkton on April 28, placing second as a team in the boys outcome to Faulkton 237 to 239, a mere two stroke difference. And the IHS girls were represented by Riley Kleffman, who finished 19th among 23 golfers with her 120.
The top girl would be Jayce Pugh of Miller with a 71 and Miller would also claim the girls' team honors that day.
But the Tigers' Luke Peterson won the individual boys' outcome, topping Faulkton's Bennett Cassons 69 to 73.
In the boys' results, Ipswich was next led by Chet Peterson in fifth at 81 and Jace Konsor placed 13th among 36 contestants at 89. And Tucker Kadlec was 16th with a 91.
The IHS varsity golfers are scheduled to play in the Lake Region Conference on May 5 at Rolling Hills Country Club in Aberdeen. The Eureka Invitational is on May 7.
