A marriage was solemnized Tuesday, November 27, 1928 at Holy Cross church when Miss Josephine Sindelar became the bride of Peter Geditz Jr. Rev F. Bormann read the Nuptial Mass at 8:30 a.m.

The bride was attired in a white satin back crepe dress made robe destyle with a close fitting basque. She wore a white veil which was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of bride’s roses.

Miss Christine Sindelar, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a white silk wool crepe dress, fashioned in cape style and a white picture hat. Her bouquet consisted of pink roses.

The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sindelar of Cleveland township. She was born in Edmunds County and has grown to womanhood here. She attended the rural schools of the county and later the Northern State Teachers College at Aberdeen from which institution she received a teacher’s certificate. She was a teacher in the rural schools of the county the past five years.

The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Geditz of Harmony township and has spent most of his life here. He has been assisting his father with the farm work and will assume charge of the Geditz farm.

A three course dinner was served to forty-five guests at the bride’s home following the wedding ceremony. The table appointments were in pink and white. A huge wedding cake formed the centerpiece.

Mr. and Mrs. Geditz have gone to Chicago on their wedding trip. Upon their return they will be at home at the Geditz farm in Harmony township.
