Fiddlin' Around

Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink as the old saying goes. We have really gotten a lot of 2022 precipitation in Ipswich in only two or three weather systems. The rest of the time we've been happy for any precip. we could get. Especially when we have had those heat spells from time to time!

The official weather guy in Ipwich Marv Seyer said that he got 2.8" from the storm. (Leland from Roscoe had about the same.) And some of that sure sounded like hail, but I don't believe that lasted too long in our location anyway. Anyway there was definitely flash flooding around the area and hopefully the Mina Lake festival was able to finish their festivities. Getting back to our precip., I had right around three inches in each of my gauges. I have three of them, two in the back yard and now a new one in the front. So I add them together and divide by three.

The bottom line is that we are now into July and that is traditionally a hot month. We'll see if that holds true again this year. And how much July precip we'll end up with, beginning with those three inches.
