IPSWICH TO HAVE NEW PUBLIC LIBRARY
Ipswich is to have a new city library the gift of the heirs of Marcus P. Beebe estate.
Construction will begin as soon as the weather permits. The estimated cost of the building is $15,000. It will be located on the north side of the present library building either on the north corner or in the center of the zinnia bed. It will be a 35 by 50 structure with full basement. A ladies rest room and lecture room will be provided in the basement. Native boulders will be the material used.
Plans as yet are not complete. We know of nothing of more value to Ipswich than its library and this new addition will certainly be of more than ordinary value to the community.
