H.E. BEEBE OFFERS PRIZE FOR BEST LAWN

Through the generosity of H. E. Beebe to the Federation of Women’s Club, $25 will again be offered in prizes for the best kept lawn, flower garden, etc.

Mr. Beebe has given these prizes the past three years. They have been incentives for the citizens of Ipswich to have well kept lawns and flower beds.

Following is a list of the prizes and the rules. Clip and save.

There will be three prizes offered for the best looking front yard and parking. 1st prize $6.00; 2nd, $2.00; 3rd $1.00.

Three prizes will be awarded for the best flower bed. This bed must be 4 by 7 feet, and visible from the street. 1st prize $5.00; 2nd, $2.00; 3rd, $1.00.

Three prizes will be given for the greatest number of trees or shrubs planted, two feet of hedge to count as one tree or shrub. 1st prize, $5.00; 2nd, $2.00; 3rd, $1.00.

Those receiving first prizes last year will be rated but no compensation will be given, the prize going to the one adjudged next best.
